Why Choose Counselling or Psychotherapy?

Modern life results in many benefits, but anxiety, depression and stress are common where expectations are high but difficulties endure. Everyone needs support to navigate the challenges of life, but that support is often lacking in our famililes and communities where our individuality is not always recognised or accepted.

Counselling and Psychotherapy are powerful

  • because they’re a proven and professional approach
  • because they support greater awareness, insight, empowerment and choice
  • because they’re confidential and separate from your other intimate relationships
  • because I respect your experience and meet you without judgment and expectation

I am a relational Gestalt therapist. Gestalt is a practical therapy, the therapist working with the client to support awareness of their experiences in the here and now. Gestalt upholds that change happens in the present, and I support my clients, where necessary, with practical activities to integrate change.

This means I provide a service that helps you identify and understand how your patterns and themes may be helping or hindering your current experience, aims, and aspirations in life. I seek to meet you from a holistic approach that addresses thinking, behaviors and feelings, welcoming your wholeness through your sexuality and spirituality too.

With my ability to listen at depth, my sensitivity to feelings, cultural differences and individual preferences, my aim is to help you in developing enough support and awareness to find and make the choices that, on your own, have been elusive or impossible.
